This was my second time rafting the Upper Yough with Precision Rafting, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. We had classic Yough weather — 50 degrees and raining — which made for higher rapids and some of the best conditions you can get on the river. Precision Rafting has everything covered from start to finish. They provide wetsuits and gear that keep you warm and comfortable, even in rough weather. All of the guides are excellent, extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate not just about rafting, but specifically about the Youghiogheny River. We had the privilege of rafting with Warren, and he was outstanding. He made an incredible experience even better. One of the things I love most about this company is the family atmosphere. You truly feel like you’re part of the family and being invited on an expedition with friends. Everyone wears many hats, and you can sense the pride, teamwork, and care they put into serving their guests. Safety is clearly a top priority. Their safety briefing was thorough, and throughout the trip they continually checked everyone’s gear and comfort level. A few people fell out during our run, and watching Warren and the team calmly and professionally get swimmers back into the raft was incredibly impressive. You could see the combination of training, experience, and genuine care for people. After rafting, they served a great hot meal and cold beers, which was the perfect way to celebrate the trip. They also have professional photographers on the river, and getting the photos afterward is a fun bonus. The scenery on the Upper Yough is second to none. Incredible wildlife, beautiful views, and stretches of river with no houses or development for miles. If you’re thinking about booking a trip, stop reading reviews and get on the Yough. This was so much fun and our group had a blast. Lane was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable about the area, very clear on communications, and very safety oriented. Coordination was really easy and the staff and owners are just great people. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience from top to bottom. I set up a trip for 11 of us who have never been white water rafting before. Warren was extremely responsive and easy to work with to get it all setup. The actual trip was spectacular! We were on the Cheat river and it was beautiful, scenic, and so much fun. All of our guides (Warren, Steve, Lane, and Chuck) were awesome and informative. Our crew had a blast and I highly recommend working with Precision Rafting.
